Diversity

Perhaps because our roots are so deep in the multiethnic and accepting culture of our island home, Goodsill values a diverse work environment. We recognize the right of equal opportunity and seek a workplace that reflects the place where we live and the global clients we serve. What matters at Goodsill is respect for the law, pursuit of excellence and community commitment.

Diversity is key to the strength of our firm and an important attribute of our firm’s profile. As one of the oldest firms in Hawaii, we are committed to hiring the best legal talent from a diverse pool of attorneys. We believe that a diverse team creates a vibrant and engaging community and adds value to our clients.

Of the firm’s attorneys, approximately 50 percent are women, 44 percent Asian and 11 percent self-identified as two or more races. We make an effort to recruit at schools with diverse student populations, and our summer associate classes reflect the values and diversity of the firm.

If we discriminate at Goodsill, it is in favor of sharp legal minds and compassionate hearts. We provide equal opportunity, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, religion, veteran status, citizenship, ancestry or national origin.
