General Information
Goodsill has a diverse and dynamic practice, with attorneys who can provide a full range of legal services for our clients. We work in the areas of corporate and securities law, taxation, real estate, banking and finance, trusts and estate planning, immigration, admiralty, public utilities, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, administrative law, environmental law, and labor and employment law. We also handle all aspects of civil litigation. We have developed a strong base of local, national and international business and individual clients. As a healthy balance to our hours at the office and with encouragement from the firm, many of our attorneys are active participants in a variety of community organizations and activities, continuing legal education programs, and the Hawaii State Bar Association.

We believe that Goodsill offers a congenial and cooperative work environment which results in legal work of the highest quality. We attempt to select applicants who will contribute positively to that environment.

We regard academic achievement and the ability to work well with others in the firm as the most important factors in evaluating all applicants. Law review work, moot court competition, academic performance in law school and the quality of the applicant's law school, undergraduate academic performance and the quality of the applicant's undergraduate school, the nature and extent of an applicant's legal experience and extracurricular activities, and the applicant's other work experiences are also considered in our evaluation. We are interested in well-rounded, personable individuals who have the ability to do exacting legal work, the personality to be effective in dealings with clients and other attorneys, and the potential to achieve excellence in the practice of law. In making our hiring decisions, we do not discriminate against applicants on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, disability, race, color, religion, veteran status, citizenship, ancestry or national origin.
