Hawai‘i 2000 Report Regarding Lawyers’ Opinion Letters in Mortgage Loan Transactions

On November 2, 2000, the Opinion Committee of the Real Property and Financial Services Section of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association presented the Hawai‘i 2000 Report regarding lawyers’ opinion letters in mortgage loan transactions.

The Hawai‘i 2000 Report represents the consensus of the members of this Committee; however, it does not necessarily reflect the views of any particular member of the Committee. Hawai‘i 2000 Report has been approved by the Section, but it has not been adopted or approved by the Hawai‘i State Bar Association. Neither the Section nor this Committee promise that the Hawai‘i 2000 Report is free from error when published; therefore, readers are urged to verify all analysis which it contains.
