Judy Lee has been honored by the Hawai’i Community Foundation as their 2021 Outstanding Professional Advisor in Philanthropy

Judy Lee
Congratulations Judy Lee for being honored by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation as a 2021 outstanding Professional Advisor in Philanthropy.  The Hawai‘i Community Foundation (HCF) recognized Honolulu-based professional advisor, Judy Y. Lee, Esq. for her commitment to philanthropy in her personal and professional life. The 2021 Outstanding Professional Advisors in Philanthropy event was attended virtually by 140 of Hawai‘i’s top legal, financial and tax advisors.

“Our honoree is an exceptional community-minded professional,” said Jen-L Lyman, director of Philanthropic Partnerships at HCF. “She helps to inspire charitable giving through her work with her clients and she reminds us all, that no matter what our role is, there is something everyone can do to bring about positive change in Hawai‘i.”

Judy Lee is an attorney and partner with Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel, LLC, where she concentrates her practice in estate planning, probate, guardianships, trust administration, and estate controversy. She helps to promote philanthropy by initiating conversations with her clients to encourage charitable giving, and speaks to local nonprofit organizations, often on her personal time, about estate planning and the importance of legacy gifts. Lee feels privileged to work with clients who choose to give generously to causes they care about. “With a grateful heart we can encourage others,” says Lee. “Support can come in different forms. It could be compassion and kindness or giving of time and donations.”

The Outstanding Professional Advisors in Philanthropy event was established in 2006, and as part of the award, honorees recommend a Hawai‘i nonprofit organization of their choice to receive a $2,000 grant award. Lee’s donation will be split between Nu‘uanu Baptist Church, Susan G. Komen Hawai‘i, and Domestic Violence Action Center.
