Partner John R. Lacy, 1942-2014

(Honolulu, Hawaiʻi –September 25, 2014) – “It is with profound sadness that we say ‘Aloha’ to our partner, John R. Lacy, who has passed away,” said Peter T. Kashiwa, Managing Partner.

Mr. Lacy joined the firm in 1973 soon after serving in the U.S. Air Force and then attending law school at the University of California, Hastings College of Law. He was well known in the legal community for his work in admiralty law, aviation, product liability and business disputes. A fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, he was recognized for several consecutive years in Chambers & Partners USA, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers.

Mr. Lacy died at his home in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi on September 22, 2014 with his wife Elizabeth Lacy at his side. Private services are to be held.
