Calvin E. Young

Calvin E. Young

My favorite things to do in Hawai‘i are spending time outside playing golf, watching the sunrise at the beach and looking for the green flash at sunset while sipping a glass of wine.

Calvin specializes in professional malpractice, aviation, insurance bad faith and product liability.

In addition to being President of the Hawai‘i State Bar Foundation, Calvin serves as a member of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Native Hawaiian Bar Association and the William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association.

Upon graduation from law school in 1982, Calvin served as a law clerk for the Honorable Philip T. Chun, First Judicial Circuit, State of Hawai‘i, and then for the Honorable Wendell K. Huddy, also of the First Judicial Circuit.

Following his clerkships, Calvin worked with Ayabe, Chong, Nishimoto, Sia & Nakamura, where he became a senior partner in the firm.

Guess how many pints of blood Calvin has donated to the Hawai‘i Blood Bank? 50? 100? How about over 200! Mahalo, Calvin!
