Goodsill serves the immigration needs of businesses, individuals and families located within the United States as well as those outside the United States who are seeking to establish themselves in the United States. We represent clients from virtually every continent, particularly from the Asia/Pacific region (Japan, the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands). Our practice focuses primarily on business immigration, and some examples include:

  • Employment-Based Immigration – representing United States and foreign-based businesses, foreign entrepreneurs, investors and traders, and multinational companies seeking to bring transferees from a foreign office to the United States; United States businesses bringing in foreign employees by obtaining appropriate visas to allow these businesses to maintain a qualified workforce; individual clients obtaining nonimmigrant and lawful permanent residency status in the United States through employment opportunities (non-immigrant visas that we handle are primarily E-1, E-2 and L-1, but we handle other visas as client needs require).
  • Immigration of Family Members – representing spouses, children and other family members seeking to immigrate to the United States based upon a family relationship to a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Our immigration practice is closely tied to other legal services provided by our full service law firm. For example, business and immigration clients frequently seek our services with respect to their corporate, real property, labor, licensing, estate planning and other business needs. Goodsill has attorneys and staff with capabilities in Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, French, and Spanish languages.
