Biography

Vasana concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax, and general business law. Prior to joining Goodsill, she was an associate in the Tax, Trusts and Estates, and Transactional practice groups of another large Hawaii law firm.

Vasana received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the William S. Richardson School of Law. While in law school, she served as an Outside Articles Editor for the University of Hawaii Law Review, a Research Assistant to Professor Nicholas Mirkay (Tax, Trusts and Estates), and a Teaching Assistant for Lawyering Fundamentals.

Prior to practicing law, Vasana was a CPA in New York City for twelve years and has worked for public accounting firms PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young. Before returning to Hawaii, she was a Tax Manager in Private Equity for Fortress Capital Finance, a global investment management firm. She received her CPA license in 2003 and has an M.S. in Taxation from Pace University.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

In her free time, Vasana enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring hiking trails throughout Oahu with her dogs
