
Biography
Chiako Fukushima is an Associate and mainly practices in the firm’s captive insurance and Japan practice groups. Chiako was born and raised in Japan, and completed her LL.B. degree from Keio University in Tokyo. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, William S. Richardson School of Law (J.D., LL.M.). While in law school, she served as a Research Assistant for Professor Mark Levin, assisting with research on various Japanese legal issues, and also worked as an intern at immigration and employment law firms in Honolulu.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Born and raised in Yokosuka, Japan, Chiako reads, writes and speaks Japanese fluently. During her free time, Chiako enjoys walking with her dog and taking care of mango trees on her
family’s farm.
