Biography

Max J. Kimura focuses his practice in civil litigation where he develops tactics and legal strategies to bring about favorable and fair results for clients. He primarily resolves construction, breach of contract, product liability, and personal injury disputes.
 
For more than 12 years, Max has practiced civil litigation in Hawaii where he has successfully resolved cases where the amounts in controversy ranged from several thousands to several millions of dollars. Prior to Hawaii, Max practiced civil litigation with San Francisco’s premier plaintiff’s asbestos litigation firm headed by the late Harry F. Wartnick.
 
In between San Francisco and Hawaii, Max spent time living in Shikoku, Japan, where he managed a private English immersion school. He especially loved bringing his students to beautiful places, such as New Zealand and Hawaii, for study abroad programs.
 
Max was born and raised in Hawaii. He graduated from Saint Louis High School, received his Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of California, Irvine, his Master’s degree in History from Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law. Max was admitted to the bar in California and Hawaii.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

Max has one wife, two toy poodles, several chickens, and five children. When he is not busy taking care of his family and pets, he studies Aikido.
