OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Tanya was born in Tokyo and moved to Hawai‘i at the age of four. Despite moving away at such a young age, she retained her reading, writing and speaking abilities through concentrated Japanese language studies and frequent visits to Japan to study and work. In her free time, Tanya enjoys surfing, hiking and spending time with her dogs at the beach.
“Growing up in Hawai‘i is an incredibly unique experience where we as a community are defined by our multicultural backgrounds-all of which enrich our lives and create a robust sense of pride and Aloha.”
