Paul Shimomoto to Speak at Captive Insurance Seminar

Paul Shimomoto will be participating in a panel that will cover captive insurance company formation on May 31, 2019 at Central Union Church.

The seminar, “Can Forming a Captive Insurance Company Save You Money?”, is organized by Hawai’i Employers Council and is recommended for CFOs, controllers, risk managers, and high level HR professionals interested in managing risks and controlling insurance costs. Topics will include pros and cons of having a captive, types of employers that would benefit from formation, and types of risks written in captives.

Other panelists include Andrew Kurata, Deputy Commissioner and Captive Insurance Administrator for the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division, and Ryan Nobriga, Vice President of Finance at Hawai’ian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. Moderated by Jerry D. Messick, Principal and Managing Director for Elevate Captives.
