Jennifer F. Chin

Jennifer assists clients with resort, commercial, and residential developments, sales and acquisitions of real property, commercial leasing, and land sales and subdivision registrations with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Hawai‘i Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. She also has experience advising clients on real estate financing, real property tax, and general business matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Jennifer clerked for the Honorable Gonzalo P. Curiel, United States District Judge for the Southern District of California. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, where she served as a Senior Notes Editor for the University of California, Irvine Law Review and as co-Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. While attending law school, Jennifer participated in an externship with the Honorable Richard Clifton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, served as a Teacher’s Assistant for legal research and writing, and worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Alejandro Camacho. She also served clients as a student attorney in the University of California, Irvine School of Law Family Violence and Immigrant Rights clinics.  

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Scripps College in Claremont, California in 2007. Before attending law school, she worked at Center for Community Solutions in San Diego, California, a nonprofit agency serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Jennifer was raised in Honolulu and is a graduate of Punahou School.


Jennifer serves as one of the firm’s pro bono coordinators and was recognized by the Hawai‘i Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission with the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award in 2016 for her policy work with the Hawai‘i Appleseed Center on Law and Economic Justice.
