
Biography
Calvin specializes in professional malpractice, aviation, insurance bad faith and product liability.
In addition to being President of the Hawai‘i State Bar Foundation, Calvin serves as a member of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Native Hawai’ian Bar Association and the William S. Richardson School of Law Alumni Association.
Upon graduation from law school in 1982, Calvin served as a law clerk for the Honorable Philip T. Chun, First Judicial Circuit, State of Hawai‘i, and then for the Honorable Wendell K. Huddy, also of the First Judicial Circuit.
Following his clerkships, Calvin worked with Ayabe, Chong, Nishimoto, Sia & Nakamura, where he became a senior partner in the firm.
